Add Asset:

The ADD ASSET tool is the key feature to the program. It allows you to add the location of an asset to the map and record information about that asset.

Click the ADD ASSET button.

Click the shape of the asset to add: point, line or multi-line.

In the listbox below the shape, select the category of assets.

The subcategory and list of assets appears.

Select the asset to add.

At the bottom of the form, the asset’s description and the list of data fields (attributes) can be viewed by clicking on each tab.

At the bottom of the Toolspace, the slider bar will change the transparancy so that you can see the map through the toolspace.

Click on the map where the asset is located to add it.

Complete the attribute form to record the asset information.

NOTE: to change or update the information for an asset, use the SELECT button.

To close the form, click the SELECT button.

The next time you click ADD ASSET, the Toolspace will return to the same asset type you last selected.
