GPS:

To use a GPS unit with PWS Suite, just plug it in. PWS Suite will automatically recognize most GPS units that are set to output NMEA standards. Once the GPS unit has acquired its location, it should appear in the bottom right of the window. Also check the menu Tools > GPS Details.

Troubleshooting GPS:

-        In Device Manager, make sure that the GPS is connected on COM1 -6. Anything higher will not be recognized.

-        Make sure that the port settings for the COM port are set as below:

 

-        Some USB GPS units require a driver from the manufacturer to be recognized.

-        Set the GPS unit to output NMEA standard 0183. Some Garmin units do not automatically output to this setting.
