New Project:

To create a new project, click on the NEW button.

The template DB is used to select which predefined assets are to be used. You can create your own templates from the Tools menu. You can also BROWSE to other templates.

The PROJECTS folder is defined in the menu Tools > Settings.

The PROJECT NAME stores all of the files in a folder of the same name (C:\PWS_Projects\My Project).

Click Next.

You need to select at least one data layer to view on your map. You must have access to this layer from your computer either on a local drive or a networked drive.

To add a layer, click the +. Click in the cell below PATH and browse to the data file. Remember that you can use different types of data (Shape, MrSID, ECW, JPG, TIF, Autocad DXF, Google Earth Places KML, existing PWS Asset Layers TTLKS).

 

Enter a name for this layer in the LAYER NAME cell.

 

To delete a layer from the list, click the X .

 

To create the project folder and files, click FINISH.
