Tracking Off/On:
When a GPS unit is attached to the computer, to view the location, toggle on Tracking On/Off. The name of the button will indicate whether the GPS feed is on or off. When it is on, the map will display the current location with a red diamond. And GPS location information will appear in the bottom right of the window.
NOTE: the project projection must be set the same as your map layer projection for the GPS to appear on your map. If the GPS location does not line up, check your layer data. In menu Tools > Program Settings, set the projection to the same as your layer data.
The GPS feed location will stay visible on the project map automatically by panning the map.
To stop the GPS feed, click Tracking On to turn it off.
NOTE: Always turn Tracking OFF before saving your project.
